Nay for me, not a fan of fake hood scoops and other fake performance looking things... But that's personal preference.

Looks good with the accessories you have selected, and I like it. But you will always have detractors telling you in person that you are a poseur since it is not operational. It probably is what keeps me from doing it with my Maverick. I like it, I just don't want to hear it.

The look is ok but I appreciate function over form, hence my liking of the Maverick.

That said, it might likely have a function. I've heard the hood can be a bit flimsy and that scoop might give it rigidity. If you like the way it looks, use that to help sell it on yourself and wife.

Here are some pics of real, functional hood scoops on some of my other Fords, I would say a fake scoop on the Maverick, negative.

Not so much, it reminds me of when the EPA neutered mussel cars in the late 70's and stuff like this turned up on showroom floors to make up for the lack of performance.
My advise is to you is if you like it and it makes you happy buy it and screw the peanut gallery including myself.
