I opened it up to put lasfit led bulbs. Now, it keeps popping as shown in the picture.
I understand it is held on 2 bolts and if you tighten the bolt too much, it is going to pull up from the back side.
On one side, I could barely tight the bolts to keep it from popping.
Anybody else had this issue?

Easy fix. The two prongs that go into the hole just need adjusting. Also, there are screws on the other side that are supposed to support it. Check to see if they are missing or loose.

I had this problem when I had to remove the taillights to put in my bed extender brackets. I found that tightening the bolts while pushing the taillights into the bushings worked. Do not over tighten the bolts. There is a sweet spot. Some have said this doesn't work but it did for me.

Same for me…. Not over tightening is the ticket.

Makes sense because you are putting more pressure on where the bolts are, causing uneven pressure where the slots pop in.

Some have replaced the grommets, but for me I noticed it was simply just not seating properly and needed a bit of elbow grease to get it in there.

When I put my LASTFIT lights in my left side did that. A mechanic at OMEARA FORD, started at the bottom of the light. I put it in that hole inside until he heard a snap and then he pushed the top in , problem fixed.
