I had it done when the TSB came out, and I've had no issues since. Make an appointment now.

It was talked about alllll the time before a fix came out, once there was a “fix” I saw it mentioned and no one really followed up with commenting on having it fixed or what not. It’s always people asking dumb questions that have been answered a million times that get talked about everyyyyyy single dayyyy lol

The pins are not the problem, it's the clips they fit into. I added a little bit of adhesive to help retain the clips, no problems since.

Look through the threads at the bottom of this thread. They're indeed was an update. Including some suggestions of removing the retaining clip putting it on the tail light pin and then pushing it back into place.

In one of the threads from last year, I mentioned that there was a TSB issued for this problem, and that I had taken advantage of it. I included the TSB number and associated info. It was largely ignored, and people just went on with talking about other fixes that may or may not work.

Sounds about right. 🫠
I’ve seen the new pins and had the tsb printed out and ready to go, just haven’t wanted to take it to the dealer and deal with that process if it didn’t indeed correct the issue. Last “fix” I got for my hybrid grabby brakes didn’t last at all. Lol

I had it done right after I received the TSB and that was several months ago and it is still good. I would let them do it, they replaced a couple of the plastic clips that the pins go into as well.

The plastic grommets cost like $5 and it's 2 screws to remove the tail lamp.

I wouldn't waste the time and headache of dealing with a Ford service center.
