Tailgate lettering in black or white?

Two days after getting the infamous email re: ordering a '24 , I got another email stating my XLT was ging to be built on or around the 19th of Sept. I called my dealer who said most likely it will be built.

At any rate I am getting the Cactus Grey, and one of the first things I am going to do is put the letters on the tailgate. But haven't seen any of that color around here, and wonder if anybody has one and gone with either black or white? I'd like to see a photo if p;ossible.

Sorry, no time to snap a photo but I have black letters on my oxford white Mav - [an obvious choice]. Another option is chrome letters but there is no other chrome on the Mav. I think black will look good on cactus gray and coordinate with black on the bumper and the bed and tailgate caps.

The official Ford accessories site has it available in stainless steel, black 'platinum' stainless, matte black and carbon fiber.

Ordered the matte black using Fordpass points (42,000 earned for buying the vehicle), arriving this week. Not sure how the black platinum would look, staying away from chrome looks since there isn't a lot on the vehicle (zero for mine with the Black Appearance Package).

I’ve seen black letters on CG and thought they look good. I would think white might be too light but yesterday I saw a light blue Bronco with white letters and was impressed! I’m dealing with the same decision after picking up my A51 yesterday.

If you are looking to stand out then black is the way to go. We have a silver Mav and the letters look great. Pretty much every one I have seen on the road, regardless of color, has gone with black.

I've got a VIN, estimated production date one year to the day after the order! Someone above had a CG with black lettering, which looked sharp. But it was some sort of reflective finish, which turned white at night with reflected light. That was cool, so I'm looking for that.

I used black on my CO.

I went with matte black to match other matte black trim .

Glossy. Plenty of sellers out there; picked one that had good reviews on Amazon that seems honest. Make sure the tailgate areas you are applying to are clean and they will adhere very nicely.

I went with white on my alto blue maverick. Also used hyperdip on the tailgate handle and AWD letters
