I used alcohol on a clean cloth.
Chrome to match the Lariat grill and stubby antenna.

Not a dumb question if you've never done it before! All good Yes you can use either one of those to clean/degrease the paint before applying. I personally used isopropyl alcohol with a microfiber towel to make sure everything is super clean! My kit also came with alcohol preps just in case.

Hi all!
Thank you so much again for all the wonderful suggestions and advice. After doing a ton of research, I decided on a black gloss with a chrome outlining for my Velocity Blue Lariat. So far it looks the same as when I installed it! I haven't noticed any discoloration or peeling, and it survived the mild winter's salts. Still love it!

It finally got warm enough that I could put my letters on. Black with red outlines. I was a little hesitant, but I think they look great on my Alto Blue Lariat with BAP,
