Stainless Look or Black tailgate lettering?

I have Catus Gray. Used black. Lots of people have commented on it.

My opinion is to always use a contrasting color. So, use black on the lighter color trucks with chrome on the darker ones.

I am old, so I like a chrome look. That's what I put on my azure gray Mav. I also wanted the reflection, since rear end collisions seem too common. I realize black is currently popular.

I was looking for opinions re: tailgate lettering for my new desert sand XLT Mav. It gets delivered sometime this week or next and in the meantime I want to order either the stainless steel or black look and can’t decide what look I want. Any thoughts?

My truck is cloud white (pale grey)and I went with Red white and blue lettering. All the other exterior accessories, I went with matte black. I think matte or gloss black would work better for you than stainless.

thanks for yours and everyone’s thoughts on the lettering colour. I decided on black given everyone’s helpful recommendations and finally found platinum black for tailgate lettering. My dealer has the vehicle now and is getting it ready for Monday when we pick up. Can’t wait and will send pics of the new truck lettering and all!!
