INSTALLED EBAY TAILGATE LETTERS

UPDATED: Added a night time shot of the letters! They glow white...Finally had a break in the weather and was able to install my reflective black tailgate letters I purchased off ebay. Installation was super simple. Go slow, don't over think it and they'll look great. Also, my truck hasn't been washed in 3 weeks and I live on a dirt road so for those of you not sure how Cactus Grey looks a little Dusty, here she is! Did I mention, I love my truck..
SIBL gets done tomorrow and the week after I'll install the tonneau cover. My window visors haven't arrived but I'll put those on when they get here.

Did you have to use some soapy water to slide them where you wanted them? I have those same ones for my Alto blue.

I did not use any soapy water to move them around. I cleaned the area very good several times and dried it throughly. When I applied the letters I just lined them up and let one area touch to see how it fit. Once I verified it was lined up, I gently lowered the letters into position. The only letter that gave me trouble was the K, but I managed to get it on without destroying it. My E, is a little off but I'm not gonna cry over it! I've seen some people use soapy water to install them but I've installed vinyl letters before and was comfortable with the process..

I used the same decals on my truck. Just stuck them on, no soapy water. Its funny how a small thing likes these stickers can make such a dramatic difference.

Also, the cactus grey looks great even with a little dust. Can hardly tell.

I just used warm soapy water and rinsed really well. The directions said dont use alcohol just clean the area several times with a soft tooth brush to remove oil, grime etc. I used a soft cloth instead of a brush and didn't have any issues. I also took my truck thru a car wash a few hours after I installed them and the letters stayed on and look perfect. My previous truck was black and stayed filthy no matter how hard I tried. This color is perfect at hiding dirt...
