Swapping XLT bumper onto XL?

I am happy that there is now a fog lights for the 2025 + Maverick. However they are not a kit you can get for the XL trim. I hate that, but I have a question if it is possible to switch out my lower bumper wrap from the XL to XLT with out much hastle?

Hum, I didn't realize there was ever a difference in that area between the trims. I understand the middle grille being a little different. Oh well. I assume you could swap the lower entire bumper portion but don't know that for a fact. Curious to hear what others know. Good Luck

I'm willing to bet the physical swap of the lower valance to the XLT one is pretty straightforward. However, you're probably going to have to swap your headlight control panel on the dash to include one with the fog light control. Unsure if any Forscan editing will be required too.

It depends on how you want to wire them. If you want to power them directly from the BCM and use the OEM F-150 switch with the fog light control (it is a relatively cheap part... $40 IIRC) it absolutely requires Forscan to enable the functionality.

But plenty of people have also just added their own switch and inline wiring, no Forscan needed - as long as you don't care about IP indicators and whatnot.

Ah true, totally forgot about just wiring in a separate switch. That would work!

watching the video that Diode Dynamics put up for the new fog lights it plugs into your wiring harness for the headlights and works without having to make any other changed turns on with the head lights, turns off with the brights on it wonderfull. The price for the fog lights is reasonable but I'm quite sure the bumper won't be cheap if I go that route.

I didn't realize the XL valance was different than the XLT. But the valance just snaps on, in any case. I'm converting my XLT to the Lobo valance in the coming days. I already installed the F-150 light switch, just need to do the forscan part.
