Seems like Ive read about some leak issues with Mav sunroofs..... but also some rear sliders, windshields, and AC box leaks too.

Our 2026 Mav Lariat AWD Hybrid (dealer ordered car we bought while in transit from factory) has the rear slider.... wish it would not have it, dont use it anyways.

5 of my last 6 vehicles have had sunroofs, and none of them have leaked.

No leaks on my (still new) Lariat roof. The rear slider was one of my requirements - the moonroof was not but to find a Lariat on any dealer lot meant it had the moonroof. Rear slider open + moonroof set to vent or full open makes for a nice experience IMHO.

Lots of fearmongering about moonroofs - just get what *you* want and enjoy!

2024 Lariat purchased August 2024 has a moonroof, live in hot florida sun and I have had no problems. Love the moonroof (like previously said very nice airflow with the moonroof and rear window open).

2024 Lariat purchased February 2024--no sunroof or rear slider issues at all. Love them both!

I've only had my 2026 Lariat a couple weeks and a sunroof was a must for me. Will use it a lot and am not worried about any leaking issues or other problems. If there becomes any problems, it's nothing that can't be fixed.

Most owners rarely use the rear slider window, but when you sell your truck, buyers see this as an higher end truck if it has one. Also try driving with it open, and the A/C off it will amaze you how much flow and comfort it provides.

My 25 Lariat has one and I haven't had any leaks. I rarely use it, but my wife does. I use the rear slider for my dog in good weather. He sticks his face out and watches cars and enjoys the smells.

The only thing I don't like about my sunroof is Ford has no reminder that it's opened. While I haven't done this on the Mav (yet?), every other one I've had I've accidentally left it open and only found out after a rain storm....

When I had my Ford Rangers I had the rear sliding glass and I used it all the time.
I think most people who paid extra for the rear window or sunroof used them quite a bit.
The last vehicle I had with a sunroof, was my Buick Encore. I used the rear open vent position all the time. With the passenger side window down. It created a nice breeze without the constant drumming.

My RAV4 limited had a sunroof, it was basically useless. It was super noisy when open while driving, so it was closed unless I was parked. I saw no need to get one when ordering the Mav, just something else you have to maintain by cleaning the gutters out to make sure it doesn’t leak, which common problem with sunroofs regardless of brand. I have to park under trees all the time, so it would have been a problem for something I see no need for.
