Strange Happenings on Ford.com

OK, so I went to "track" my order since the website was down all weekend and noticed a couple changes to what was showing. First, the tow package is now showing, when in the past it wasn't. Also, it no longer says "acoustic windshield" but a "noise-reducing" windshield. Now, when looking on the Ford website, it also says the same thing under the 500A equipment package. Is this just a change in wording to help people understand what an acoustic windshield is? Lastly, also on the Ford website, it now says "Search Inventory" under "Build & Price" instead of "Reservation". I'm hoping some of these changes are in anticipation of things getting ramped up and maybe we'll start seeing some video reviews soon.

Ford is not doing reservations anymore. They have officially removed it from the website. Now it tells you to contact your dealer.

There's still a reservation button but looks like they renamed it 'Create Your Custom Order'. The main Maverick landing page got some changes as well; new pictures, some new feature promos.

That was pretty fast considering they just pulled Bronco reservations that were available for over a year now.

Yeah, I just tried reserve a Maverick and it went to a Bronco Sport???

If I ran Ford I would probably stop booking online to try and figure out if 100,000 reservations is 25,000 or 65,000 real orders. I mean there are a lot of people on this site admitting booking two, three or more trucks. This is why requiring a deposit makes sense.

Warranty	Bumper to Bumper: 3 years / 36,000 miles
	Powertrain: 5 years / 60,000 miles

That is your marketing and Production VP's job, and it shouldn't take more then 5 days to get the information that is needed.

The Hybrid battery is still 8/100K if the manual has been posted Ford isn't going to change it.

I did find this after I posted but why not clearly state this also directly in the Maverick specs in the warranty section of the web page...that's a BIG difference in time / mileage and this is often quoted here to folks with concerns about the hybrid.
