Stock lug nut for maverick

I believe they are different. My XL Steelie wheels have open lug nuts on them. Looks like a nur you would see on a normal bolt around the shop.

I have a set of steelies to put on this winter, and have replaced my oem XLT lugs with mcgard ones. Wondering if I need to keep two sets of lugs or all three

The OEM XLT will work with steelies. The steelies come with a cheaper one just because it's in the base model but the others will work too

Yes, but they are unnecessarily long by about half an inch.

The basic specs are 14mm (diameter) x 1.5mm (thread pitch) with a 60-degree cone angle.

After that, it comes down to preferences;
Spline or hex drive. If hex, what size?
Chrome or black
Open or closed end
Made in USA or imported (if that matters to you)

Lug nuts are not rocket science, once you meet the basics, the rest is just what style and appearance you desire.

OK, I am a novice at lug nuts. Even with the great info provided, I am not sure I will be buying the proper ones. Can anyone please link something they bought or knows will fit and not stick out half an inch further like the ones I put up?

Also, any locking sets? Would like to lock the wheels/tires. I go in to some areas for work that this is a concern.

They will work but they are to tall they will stick out you want 3/4 to 1.5”
