Ford says there is capacity available and it won't delay orders. Siren song?

My cousin got an f-150 hybrid this year with factory spray in and said he is disappointed with the quantity of the factory spray in.. Says my Mav with aftermarket looks and feels much better. I had my dealer install the spray in.

It says that something else (ie tonneau cover) could delay delivery, but not the bedliner.

So, the question becomes if NOT having the bedliner becomes a scheduling constraint.

I would not add spray in from Ford. For all we know they already had a rush of added bedliners and you will end up at the back of the line again.

Don't risk it. You will pay about the same ($500) for your dealer to spray the bedliner before they deliver it to you. Yes you won't get the Ford logo, but no one will see it if you put a tonneau cover on, like the BAK X4s my Mavs have on this video on my channel:

Maybe it's true, but I'm still skeptical. Mine is supposed to be built in 10 days, so I'm not gonna throw a wrench in the gears now. My dealer does it on-site, so I'm sticking with that.

Well, my understanding is you can't add it once you are scheduled anyway. I'm on the fence, but as I am an EB order, I know I'll get mine eventually based on the order numbers. So, this is good for letting me know this one thing won't be the hold up.

Is this the package deal that comes with holes in the gas tank?

All the diy videos on bedliners are very appealing so I ended up ordering the Raptor liner spray kit.

At this point does anyone believe anything Ford say about production and delays. Only fools.

I don't believe this is an official Ford release. Can anyone link to the official source for this or is this another image the OP got off FB?

I had been advised at my dealer that it had been such a headache for this past year to get the vehicles with the SIBL scheduled, let alone produced, to just leave it off.

Now, it was a good point, but after finding out the local Line-X guy wanted to start charging more, due to the prep work of the mav bed, and wouldn't entertain discounts. Plus this mav is intended to be my daily driver, so trying to minimize down time was a thought. The next closest place for anything was just too far out of the way of my daily rounds.

I'm also a canceled 22, so I thought I'd put the effort on fomoco and see what would happen. Ticked off the box in my reorder, and waited.

Seems to have worked. Got scheduled in the initial batch on Dec 1.
