I believe I’ve read all the posts about replacing my speakers, watched all the videos I could find. My XLT has the base radio, which I’m very disappointed in. My question is, is it worth the effort and expense to replace front, and rear speakers?

From many of the posts on here, skip the rear speakers. Replace the fronts, and add a little subwoofer like the kicker hideaway.

If you do a search for stereo replacement, you'll find lots of different options for what people bought. I'm blanking on the model, but infinity was the brand I remember seeing lots.

it's very much worth doing for any Maverick. if you don't have B&O, you would then gain a lot by then installing an amp, but you will get noticeably better midbass performance just doing the front speakers.

I did Fronts only, and added a plug and play kit for the kicker hideaway 10” and it sounds soooooooooo much better.

Totally up to you.i think the factory speakers sound just fine in my maverick, someone else might think they sound horrible. Try em for awhile,if you don't like buy some new ones.

Couldn't tell ya, I've never heard what the base radio sounds like. Guess it would come down to your taste, what you listen too? talk radio, FM music, MP3?. Are you use to high end systems? There's lots of complaints here about the base, seems speaker replacement is common and worth the investment. I have the B&O and im very pleased, but some that have it still upgrade it, so its a personal preference thing imo

Upgrading the front door speakers and tweeters made a huge improvement in sound for my XLT. I ordered a set of Powerbass and they were a drop in. The powerbass door speaker probably weighs 10-15 times more than the factory speaker. I was pretty surprised how crappy the factory door speakers were to be honest. Money well spent.

I couldn't stand the audio quality of my 23's XLT audio. Did some research and settled on the PowerBoost plug and play, direct replacement door/dash tweeters set. 100% improvement!!! I did add some sound deadening to the doors and door card in the easily reachable areas, helped out a lot! Door panel removal is very simple with a few select tools, removal is straightforward and easy to follow on YouTube. Before I could barely feel the low end while resting my arm on the arm rest, since a very nice message while driving!!!! :)

YES!!!!!!!! I replaced both the front and the rears with Morell coax speakers no additional amp or anything and I left the tweeters in the dash connected . My truck is a 2022 lariat eco boost .At least A 20X IMPROVEMENT!! I think i posted the install on hear when I did it

Yes, it's worth it.
Even keeping the factory dash tweeters and just changing the mid-bass in the door is a massive improvement. Adding an amp really steps things up.

It doesn't matter what vehicle you have, OEM speakers are the cheapest speakers in the world, even low grade after market speakers make a world of difference in sound compared to stock.
