Some Dash Cam Installation Tips

I'm not great with wiring/ electrical stuff, but I purchased the Garmin Constant Power Cable (plugs to OBD2 port and was able to hide the wiring) with an inexpensive Viofo dashcam. Cable was pricey at $50, but I would say its worth it for those who don't want to tap fuses.

Installed mine this week. Was pretty easy running the 12 volt wire across the headliner and down through the A pillar to the fuse panel behind the glove box. Also ran a wire for the rear camera up the pillar for the rear dash cam. Very happy with the quality. Also got the sensor to turn it on if there's any vibration when parked.

If the camera detects any vibration or movement when parked it will turn itself on and record. If someone whacks my Mav in a parking lot the front and rear cameras start recording.

It's part of the camera. There's a vibration sensor bult into its power cord that I mounted under the dash near the fuse box. Surveillance Power Supply for 70mai Car Dash Cameras
