I installed a Bronco Sport Auto dim mirror and the harness from a member here that gives you 12 volt at the mirror and has dash camera plugged in there.

Just route the cable to a fuse tap, it is not too hard to do and it's a cleaner installation.

There will be a lot of privacy pushback, if it becomes a standard feature without a way to deactivate it.
There are a lot of folks who do not want the possibility of the government IE law enforcement to have the ability to monitor/review their driving habits.

I chose to connect through my OBD port over a year ago and haven't had any issues. From what I recall there was only a few pins in the adaptor to tap into power only.

I'm certain you can find this elsewhere if you're not a fan of aliexpress.
