In early April we sold the Maverick to our son. Due to its price point it makes a real nice vehicle for him.
I put a 2.5" lift on it and 1" spacers on front and 1.25" spacers on the back, fender flares and a tailgate damper and a prized Campagnolo sticker to the back window. I also just recently put new 245/65/17 Nexen AT tires on it.

I purchased a 2025 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss to replace the Maverick. It has a 2" lift, a 3" wider stance and 275/65/18 tires from the factory. All items are included on the factory warranty.

When transferring the stuff I had in the Maverick I have a full crate of stuff that I can't fit into the Colorado! There is NO space in the cab for anything!

I still identify with the Maverick and when I see one on the road It catches my eye! They are getting more common but I ordered mine in December of 2021 and received it in Nov 2022 and at that time they were very unique.

I will likely visit here now and again, since the Maverick is still in the family, it seems like you all are friends and it's fun to read the threads and your comments. I don't know if I'll join the Colorado forum since it is not a unique vehicle and there are so many of them on the road.

I will not say good by, but see you around!

Very nice, the Colorado's are much nicer Trucks, I looked at on myself just couldn't justify the price.
Yes, a hard pill to swallow, but the price we sold the Maverick for was still a great price for our son and got us half way to the Colorado sticker price.
The Colorado is nice however I found the Maverick to be of sound quality and well designed and made.

My son borrowed his girlfriend's father's MY25 loaded Colorado the other day. The father sells Chevies. I drove it and It is a really, really, nice truck. BUT, the price tag is high when compared to my three payments left on my 22 Maverick Lariat with 28k miles. Enjoy it!!

Those are both great looking trucks.
I’m sure you will enjoy the Colorado.
I still miss my Hummer H3 Alpha but I’m really enjoying my Maverick now.

Come back and check in every once in a while. You’ve got friends here.

A top of the line Colorado would cost almost 6k more than my top of the line 23 maverick lariat awd bap 4k tow and could not match the 40mpg highway I get with my Ford.

My latest summer highway mileage on a 40 mile trip on I35. Speed a little over 70mph most of the way. 36 miles in 33 minutes shows over 70mph. still 40+. the round trip was 85 miles and took 2.12 gallons of fuel.

Get another Maverick. I traded in my 2022/3 Maverick for a 2025, and I'm glad that I did., I had a GMC Canyon before. The Canyon is a splashier brother of the Colorado. It was okay, but I like the Maverick much more for many of the reasons that you mentioned. My 2025 Maverick Lariat has all the features that I want and need.

Curious if you considered a Ranger when you were looking at the Colorado?
