I suggest you think about a snowblower . You could get a small hitch carrier to move it from house to house . Or a set of ramps and just put it in the back of the truck . I agree with others that a plow will destroy a Maverick . The FX4 has front hooks and reinforcing on the unibody, But that's designed for pulling force not pushing . Same as the hitch its meant to pull not push .

I used to own a truck outfitter store that sold and installed snow plows. There's nothing wrong with putting a plow on a smaller vehicle if you understand how to use it properly. I had a plow on my 2-door Jeep Wrangler for doing my own driveway. But that is still a body on frame vehicle.

There are a couple of issues with putting a plow on a Maverick.

First, the plow blocks airflow to the intercooler, which can lead to overheating and consequential damage. We did install one on an EcoBoost F-150 but he was only going to do a small parking lot at his business and not drive around town with the plow mounted. Other than that one customer, we recommended against snow plows on EB Fords.

Second, the unibody construction of the Maverick means it will not do well with a plow if you don't work within it's limits. We did install homeowner-class plows on unibody vehicles but every customer was warned to not let snow get more than a couple of inches ahead of them, to avoid ramming into previously stacked snow, and to avoid causing the blade to trip since that would put force on the unibody before the blade tripped.

In any case, until there is a front receiver hitch for the Maverick there will be no snowplow that fits.

Rear-mounted plows are an option but I've never liked them because you're putting all the pushing work at the lightest end of the truck and have the worst visibility for obstacles. Stacking snow is not an option and you would not go out on the street with that setup (I hope!)

For all those reasons, the other posters are correct in steering you toward a lawn/yard tractor or ATV equipped with a plow or snowblower.

This is the rear plow , They use in a big truck and they can also use in suv and van.
Obviusly im not talking to plow my town or 3ft of snow ,
But 2 50ft x 20 driveway , that can be plow everytime the snow arrive to 7/8 inch.

I can understand that ford can say , no this truck isnt made to plow , because obviusly will be ppl that will try to plow the whole town.
But isnt my case , im not look for a job. Just try to get rid the snow blower that everytime u going to use will not start for any kind of reason, load in the truck go to my parents house and clean their driveway.

And what about a front hitch ?
Still void the warranty?
Does exist a front hitch?

Anyone have tryed the rear plower?
No, you can't add a front hitch it is all plastic up there. It would take an insane amount of welding and customization to pull off.

You cannot plow with your Maverick.

Rangers and F-Series can, or a better option might be a snowblower or an ATV.

So let me understand.......A Maverick is not capable but an ATV is?

Well, as a Montanan... you can use anything to plow lol. I'm actually shocked at some of the vehicles I see with plows up here (or just on the road in general, but I digress...)

But as others have said - not that kinda vehicle. For the cost you'd spend to have the plow installed up front you could just buy a dedicated used cheap plow vehicle.

So let me understand.......A Maverick is not capable but an ATV is?
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. ATV's that plow usually only scratch the surface the same way a vehicle not readily equipped to withstand the high load would. Many ATV's suffer the same fates as said vehicles over longer use when plowing. Overheating. This is why most plows run diesel engines with a beefy tranny.

Again, capable? Yes. Recommended? No.

I know it can be hard to understand but the Maverick (even Tremor or 4K equipped) is not a rugged vehicle. It is a unibody vehicle with parts not made for off road or hard abusive use. The front fascia is all plastic that snaps off and breaks with road debris, the radiator fins are damaged on numerous mavericks.

The owners manual for a Maverick states - don't plow with it.

ATVs are rugged machines made for off road and agricultural use - they are made to take abuse - and they can plow easily.

Choice is OPs and it sounds like his mind is made up. I wish him well and I'd love to see the results.

Your profile says Rockland, but that could be anywhere. As someone who plows in New England, there are a couple of things worth noting on those videos.

  1. In both videos, the snow is light and dry. The space is wide open so the driver can put the snow wherever he/she wants. There are no obstacles to speak of (cars to maneuver around, lawn or edging to avoid, etc.
  2. In the first video, the plow rode up over the snow, so each row had to be done twice and then the area gone over again to eliminate the windrows. If the snow had been wet and heavy, he would have left a couple of inches that the plow would keep riding over.
  3. In both videos, when driving forward the plow just flattens out and skims over the top. In other words, no back drag capability at all to pull snow away from garage doors or other spots you don't want to leave a pile of snow. If either property has garages, you'll need to leave quite a few feet of unplowed area in order to turn away with room to clear the garage and keep snow away from it. So the probability is you'll still need a snow blower or expect to do a decent amount of shoveling unless both properties are as wide open as those in the videos.
  4. On the topic of snow weight, my Wrangler had a fully hydraulic 6'8" plow with downforce. There have been storms when I had to work at clearing the first path, even though I never let the storm get too far ahead of me. It was just because the snow was extremely wet and heavy and I couldn't keep pushing a full blade width. I'd have to angle the blade to allow snow to spill off the side of the blade rather than pile up in front of it. Does the Snowsport have that ability?
At the end of the day, it's your call. But if being able to get the snowblower started is the main problem, consider buying a battery-powered snow blower like the one I got to clean up the areas even my plow couldn't get into.

Yes i saw that isnt the same as regular front plower , and it will be a little bit hard to maneuver , thats why im asking if someone ever tryed it or something similar.

I have a electric start snowblower. Bought 4y ago , used the first one , the second we had no snow. Used the third one , when went to start it , it didnt. Took me 5h to figure why. And it was a small grain of sand into the carburator nozzle that stuck the gas.
Imagine had to been crazy 5h for a little grain of sand.

Last winter i had like 9inch of snow and didnt used.

Can't leave fuel in a snowblower over winter - it ruins your carb. True for almost all small engines but I've never met a snowblower that won't eat a carburetor if left to sit with a tank of gas.

I always do that , i close the fuel valve and let him stop when burn all the gas.
But i left the gas in the tank and probably for unluck thing a grain of sand sat in the bottom and when i went to use went thrue the line and stuck into the nozzle.
