another option is to use lettering that matches the body color. It adds depth to the lettering but it’s subtle compared to a strong color contrast. I used chrome letters that are close to icon silver body color.I'm on the fence on this. I like it without lettering but may try vinyl letters in the future. If I dont like them, I can just peel them off, no problem.
Buy some magnetic vinyl sheet, cut it to the shape of the area where the letters are, paint it your body color (or a contrasting color), lay it on, done.I keep seeing tailgate lettering all over the place. I would prefer not to have the word Maverick across the back. I cannot find a smooth tailgate. Is there something to cover up the lettering?
This surprises me! You must have the eyes of an eagle! Without adding a contrasting letter set, the indented letters are INVISIBLE. In fact, I look at all of the makes of trucks with the invisible indentations on their trucks, and wonder why they wasted the money to indent. If it is for strength, they could have gotten by with one bend in the middle. Just leave it alone, more people will NOT see it than WILL see it.I keep seeing tailgate lettering all over the place. I like that idea. Then I can change the looks day to day. Rob a bank and need my truck to look different? Pull off the magnetsBuy some magnetic vinyl sheet, cut it to the shape of the area where the letters are, paint it your body color (or a contrasting color), lay it on, done.
Not sure why it bothers you but buying the Cyber Orange, black lettering seemed to me to be a no brainer. Especially with the BAP that came with it.I keep seeing tailgate lettering all over the place. I would prefer not to have the word Maverick across the back. I cannot find a smooth tailgate. Oh I wouldn't Spend that kind of money just thinking there might be something out there that covers it. I just don't like logos everywhere.A first world country problem for sure. You could spend a couple thou or more at a body shop to fill the stamped area. But why?
Kind of the same as people adding lettering. I just want to delete it.Not even Third World. That is what is called a solution looking for an non existing problem.
It looks great. Just not me. I would prefer the entire truck not have letters or stickers. Not sure why it bothers you but buying the Cyber Orange, black lettering seemed to me to be a no brainer. Especially with the BAP that came with it.

No problem, to each his own. It is YOUR truck, after all.It looks great. Just not me. I would prefer the entire truck not have letters or stickers.
You would be "Home Free" until they download a list of all cell phone numbers and vin#'s within 5 blocks from the bank during the robbery. Maybe which cell phones are within 100 feet of the tellers cell phone?I like that idea. Then I can change the looks day to day. Rob a bank and need my truck to look different? I was just wondering about modifying my truck. This is a forum about modifying after all. No need to be snarky.I think if you get a grinder you could just grind the letters down. Then get a can of primer from Home Depot. They also probably have a color that will match your truck.
I am sure it will look great after you are done.
That is probably what I will do.I prefer to leave it stock. I like the more subtle stamped lettering
