Oh I wouldn't Spend that kind of money just thinking there might be something out there that covers it. I just don't like logos everywhere.
Logos everywhere = I do understand. I am that way about clothes. I won't wear anything [except I have no choice with sport shoes] that has a logo.

I may eventually go with the reflective tailgate lettering. Anything to add visibility, so it has some function.

I almost got ran over the other day by a squatted Tahoe doing 85 mph in the right lane. Like I said, anything to add visibility.
I don’t have any pictures on hand - sorry, but on my Oxford White Tremor, I had Tufskinz - the outfit that Ford accessories offers for some of their lettering, make me a set of reflective matte white lettering solely for added nighttime visibility from behind. I did this because I also prefer the low-key tailgate.

Cut a piece of sheet metal that fits the area cut the tailgate weld in the new piece some filler then paint. No biggie shouldn’t take but a few days.

Unless there is a smooth tailgate offered aftermarket, this is probably the best option. It is probably what a body shop would do.

Here are pictures and video of my reflective white on white letters.

I felt the same way when seeing all of the people add the different types of lettering, originally thinking that I liked it better as is. Now that I've waited months for my order, the lettering has grown on me and I'm probably going with the Black or Carbon raised 3D lettering If and when the Maverick is delivered. Never really thought about trying to find a smooth tail gate.
It’s your truck so do what you want with it. Me, I thought black letters on the Cyber Orange was a no brainer!

I keep seeing tailgate lettering all over the place. I would prefer not to have the word Maverick across the back. I cannot find a smooth tailgate. Is there something to cover up the lettering?
You could always trade it in for a Ranger if you don't like Maverick on the back.

I too dislike the stamped lettering
Drives me crazy that this forum is so in love with putting stickers inside the letters
I’ve talked to a fabricator friend of mine and he said it would be no big deal to fill them in but it’s not worth it to me to go through the trouble of it
However If I was to fall into an extra tailgate…… I might just drop it off and let him do it in his spare time

I’m all about smooth lines, I like to be as close to the original designers drawings as possible (before they add all the lights and reflectors and branding and stuff)

FYI stamping the tailgate lettering is cheaper than making a badge to stick on each truck

OP, I think you should mess with everyone's minds and put a big TESLA badge on the tailgate. Please post pictures. A close second best would be SANTA CRUZ. A third option would be IT'S A CAR.

Oh heck, now you got me thinking about it and I might put SANTA CRUZ back there myself.

You would be "Home Free" until they download a list of all cell phone numbers and vin#'s within 5 blocks from the bank during the robbery. Maybe which cell phones are within 100 feet of the tellers cell phone?
Gone in 60 seconds could never be made now...sad
