I didn't return my Rival skid plate and decided to install it. I figure I can use a funnel to change my oil. Welp, today was my first oil change with my Rival skid plate. Removing the screws to access the oil filer & drain plug was pretty easy. And it seems my experience may have pushed them to update the product listing—this wasn’t there before. Interesting how that works, isn’t it?

Using a funnel to drain the oil just didn't cut it with me. There just isn't enough room to place funnel and hand in there. I guess I'll have to find another funnel and do some custom cutting to make this easier. I will tell you I had oil spill all over my garage floor and would highly recommend placing a big card board under the oil pan.
If anyone has done an oil change with the Rival skid plate please share your experience and how you did it. If Rival would have made the opening BIGGER it would have been great.
