Sirius xm not available in my 2023 XL

I called today to get Sirius xm radio for my Maverick and was told that my vehicle can not receive the xm signal.... Is this possible and what do I do..... I never heard of a truck that couldn't get xm.... Help....

The radio in a 2023 XL cannot receive satellite signals.

There are aftermarket options you can search the forum for, or you can use an SXM app on a cell phone to stream to the truck, or just connect it via USB and use CarPlay or Android Auto.

Agreed my 24 XLT with the so-called luxury package doesn't have it either I believe the only way you can get it in a Maverick is to purchase the lariat which is silly and not worth the cost.

Your best bet is if you have a SiriusXM subscription with car and streaming included just stream it from your phone either using Bluetooth or plug your phone in to the USB port and stream it with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

I normally just stream it over Bluetooth as that not only plays the audio but it shows the artwork for the channel I'm listening to as well. Every lower or upper trim vehicle I've purchased since 07 has had built in Sirius or XM included in it except for my 2012 F-150 xlt.

My 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ did not have the option or capability to receive a Sirius Signal I purchased a receiver off Amazon that plugged into the existing radio and it has worked flawlessly

Me too.
I don't own a PC, laptop or tablet to convert my CDs and I have too many of them, it would take too much time to convert.

How do you convert a CD to a flash drive or a phone without a PC, laptop or tablet or CD reader?

I'm guessing the PC, laptop or tablet would have to have some sort of CD player or is that additional money to spend?

same issue with all my cassette tapes and my dad’s 8-track tapes we should have had options to have factory installed players for all of these lol

But in order for that tuner to work you first have to have an after market or OEM radio that is XM ready. Your Jeep's radio must have been ready to accept the XM tuner. The base Ford radio is not compatible with this tuner and will not work.

I tried the Bluetooth method but it worked about half the time and was very buggy. I tried Apple Car Play (wired) and really liked it. Then I bought a wireless adapter from Amazon. It isn't perfect but it's way better than the other two methods.

BTW I have the Sirius XM app and That is about all I listen to in the car. I will occasionally listen to music I ripped to MP3 on my iPhone. The best thing about the SXM app is if you listen to talk shows, you can stop it when you get out and resume when you gat back in the car. Not like SXM radio where it is linear listening.
