I'm using stock amp. The door speakers handle most of the mid bass. The subwoofer handles the sub bass... Hence the word "subwoofer". As stated, you are hearing deeper tones and more punch. So it's doing it's job. Seriously recommend replacing door speakers as well.

Everyone has different taste. As I stated earlier, don't expect a miracle. But it is an improvement. If you want obnoxious bass, spend the money to get what you want. If you don't like the Dayton and followed what I did, you can just return it to Amazon and put your truck back exactly how it was.
I'm not disappointed, I just want to push what I have as far as it can go. I've replaced all 8 speakers and it sounds decent and I do hear more lower end frequencies with sub replacement. What settings do you have your eq, fade, volume set to?

What I meant though is the amp that came with my truck is completely different from earlier versions apparently and could explain some of the difference:

I was wondering why my experience is different than this though. Goes back to my question on another thread of whether my amp being different is the reason, or if it's the polarity that's being questioned.
I also noticed as you did, some tracks it's a lot more noticable. Some music I'm am shocked at the output, and others are just ok. Guess it depends on what the track calls for. If the music doesn't call for sub tones, you're obviously not going to get it.

I did not know the amp was changed! That could be an issue...

I had mine set flat... Right in the middle. After a several listening hours I ticked up the mid and treble a little. It actually drowned out the high end just a little.

I just went back and read the 2024 ordering guide, sept (last) revision.

It doesn't say anything about the watts the B&O produces. Peak or RMS, nothing. It just says 8 speakers.

That unfortunately does leave open the possibility your amp is materially different. It's certainly cosmetically different, we know that. LOL

Definitely something different... I'm not getting any where near the low end that would drown out anything.

I have a late-model 2023 Lariat though.

I'm not a fan of the sound of the B&O. Going have to install a DSP..

Sure it doesn't change what is now, but I was sold a 660 watt system. If they changed the amp mid-cycle without telling me that does change whether I was scammed or not :)

Is anyone able to grab the part number of the original B&O amp?
I looked for a part number on the amp but it must be on the underside. Here are some pics of mine. As you can see it's obviously different from yours
