Signature when ordering?

Question, does the dealer actually require any signatures? I've talked to 3 different dealerships. 2 said they would take my order over the phone/online and only needs a driver's license. The 3rd one is adamant that I need to be there in person to build it and sign paper.

How exactly do you expect to establish an actual contract with a net sales price and lock down other terms w/o a dual- signed sales agreement with the dealership?

It would probably be a good idea to actually sign a buyers order....

Changes on Ford's end means that this is probably not required (like it was for 22 Mav). Our dealership will continue to have customers sign the buyers order and complete the COVP. This could be done by email and scanning though.

My dealer has buyers sign the buyers order, but of course the dealer's business manager won't return the favor.

Exchange signed contracts by email. Done all the time.

My original order 9 months ago now was signed by dealer and myself, however, months later ui changed colors and it was all done via DocuSign electronically

I believe he was asking about the necessity of physically going to the dealer but can have a valid signed contract without going there.

That is correct. I was asking if signing and emailing was good enough for Ford verification. Seems like it is. Thanks
