Side by side height comparison: Lariat vs. Tremor

I always assumed that my Tremor's squishiness makes it a smoother ride and I'm OK with that. Some roads around here have some questionable maintenance schedules and it is nice to not worry so much about slowing down for the bumpy stuff

My 2024 Lariat and my buddies desert sand 2025 Lariat.
Feels like dis:

The Lariat can hang a fast turn and gas sip when doing 85-90 MPH turning in 31-32 mpg’s.
His desert sand Lariat had the 4K tow and the BAP obviously.

The Tremor builds speed a lot faster going in a straight line and prefers to be driven around 65-70 mph.

Does your Tremor build speed faster than your 24 or your friend's 25? Tremor has taller tire with same final drive ratio as your friend's 25 so it should be noticeably less quick. To be quicker than a 25 Lariat (same engine as your Tremor), it must have some unstated difference like different torque converter or different turbo boost calibration. Hmmmm...

And my rear end IS lower, I spin about 2200 rpm at the same speed I spun 2100 In my 2024, My 24 is just like Dans 2025.

Another difference, my 2024 got better mpg’s at 85 than at 70, that’s a Turbo thing.

My Tremor is showing better mpg’s at 70 than at 80.
Rear end difference is something like,
3:83 vs 3:68, I’m prolly off a tad.
One tranny was H35 and the other was H something else.

My Tremor feels like it could pull a stump out of the ground.
My Lariat felt like it could out run a V-6 Honda Accord, or better.

Ah, now I see. Your seat of the pants sensations are 100 percent accurate because of the final drive difference btwn your 25 and 24. The 3.81 in your Tremor compensates for the taller tires and still results in higher freeway revs than your 24 at the same speed. All EB 25s were built in AWD with the 3.81 final drive regardless of trim or option package. The 24 EB Lariats had the 3.63 unless built with 4k tow or FX4 if I recall correctly.

Idk offhand. Need to check the diameter differences btwn the OE 24 Lariat, the OE 25 Tremor and the 245s. I go to the Tire Rack website when looking for these specs.

Zombies are typically skinny and break apart easily - but your Tremor would squish then better. That said, the Lobo does have a “cow catcher” front grille that would shed them effectively?

Either way, however, electricity will be cut disabling both gas & water dispensing - so better to stay home anyway!

I think the Atkinson cycle engine in my hybrid would actually be a great candidate for a wood gas conversion in the post apocalypse. lol

Fantastic! As a side note - zombies actually taste like chicken. Just toss them in the bed & make sure you cook ‘em well done. Tasty crispy garnish on squirrel stew.
