Self locking doors?

An issue (or a feature?) has cropped up lately. Or at least I noticed it recently...

When parking overnight in my garage, the mav will often lock0 the doors on its own... with no input from me.

A unique problem or biz as usual that I just never noticed?

Mine doesn't do that. I wonder if the presence or absence of the key fob might have something to do with it? Is your fob near the truck?

On the other hand, do you have a playful cat or dog who likes to play with the key fob while you're sleeping? You'd be amazed what pets will play with.

I've noticed recently that the drivers door will sometimes self-lock after I close it. Freaked me out the first time because I left the key inside. Fortunately the other doors remained unlocked.

I thought mine was doing the same thing until after reading some of the other posts on this site. I found out I was the culprit. I open the door and ever so slightly (it doesn't take much) my hand brushes the manual lock tab right above the lever. Moves it just a tiny bit, but enough to set the lock on. I would come out the next morning to a locked truck! Started checking everytime I closed the door and I was in fact locking it myself about half the time. Try checking and see if it's locking soon as you exit the truck! Good luck.

This is happening to mine as well - do not believe this is a normal operation and going to the dealer to have them diagnose

My drivers door does that too. I had the dealership look at it and the service manager repeatedly was slamming the door till I told him to stop. He pulled up something on the computer about a loose part in the door. I tried to explain it is an electrical issue perhaps with software?? I have temporary resolved the issue. Every time I exit the vehicle I press the unlock button twice before exiting. It’s a habit now and the door remains unlocked even overnight.

SAME!!! and its just the drivers door. I can open the back door reach up and open door. Very odd. If I can remember the door code I would do that

Another reason to have that keypad on the door. But I never leave the keys in the truck. Have heard instances where cars get stolen right out of the garage. Mostly high end cars tho. If you have a keyless entry perhaps you a brushing against the driver's door handle thus locking the truck.

Be sure you are nut pushing the manual lock this door which is next to the open this door lever when you get out.
Also do not touch the right end top of the outside open lever when shutting the door.

If you have a keyless entry perhaps you a brushing against the driver's door handle thus locking the truck.

If you have keyless entry tap on the little lines on the driver's door. It locks the doors. My wife has her Subie for 3 years and never knew about this.

Can't you change those setting on your screen settings in the truck.
