Doors locks problems

Time to take it in as I would assume something is broken like a sensor or relay that activates the lock. Should be a warranty issue for sure as so new.

You don't happen to have a key inside the truck do you? I know on previous vehicles I have owned with the key fob push button start the truck knew if there was a key inside the vehicle and wouldn't let me lock the doors. Good thing because it kept me from locking myself out a couple of times. I am new to the Maverick so I am not sure if the Maverick is enforcing that behavior also. I have seen other reports of the Maverick doing the opposite and auto locking the doors with the keys inside. So that may not be it. Crazy door lock stories with the Maverick.

If it senses a fob inside the vehicle it should double-honk and unlock all the doors if you press the door lock button.

So have fob in hand, clearly held outside cabin, and hit the button for lock all.
If it locks - there is no fob inside.
If it does as described - it thinks there is. May be true, may be a sensor issue.

Hmmmm maybe cycle power by disconnecting the battery if that doesn’t or didn’t work it seems a trip to the dealership is in order unfortunately

I occasionally check the Ford App when I can’t rember if I locked my truck. I wish it would indicate if the Maverick is locked or not. Not a huge deal, just sayin’.

I agree seeing the status at a glance would be nice and how it should be configured…

How long have you had it?
Is the 2nd set of keys with fob still in the truck?

I also agree that it'd be nice to always be able to look at the app and instantly see if the truck is locked, but if the truck telematics are enabled enough to verify lock status, they are also able to lock the truck via the app...

Click the "lock" button in the app, and it will lock (or re-lock) the truck, and for a brief moment, the app does announce "Vehicle Locked." I just tried this with a locked truck, and the truck didn't honk, but I heard the door locks engage. So, I would say that with just one button-press in the app, you are covered.

I had a problem where my doors would SOUND like they locked using the key-fob - however it was only the fronts that locked - the rear doors would not lock.
Using the fob, sitting in the truck using the door-lock button, using the app - nothin would lock the rear doors.
I only discovered this after getting in my truck to go to work one morning and discovering that it had been rifled-through, change stolen, etc.
I took it to the local dealership and the service department lubricated the lock actuators in the rear doors - problem solved. No charge.
Well, except for the $18.00 in toonie's and loonies (Canadian dollar and 2 dollar coins)
