This has me thinking of ditching the XLT Lux package +$170 remote start on my 2023 order, doing aftermarket lumbar adjust and seat heating, then toss in a quality two-way remote start and security system. I'd still come out ahead over the cost of the Lux package, can have multiple fobs with all the requisite buttons, and added functionality like remote window roll-down, etc.

What's the best way to change items on your order and does it screw with your priorities and scheduling?
This is my first truck with remote start and it's amazing. Dont give it up!

I hope this doesn't remove the keypad entry on the XLT.

Why did Ford assign so many ‘22 VINs if they don’t have the parts to make them? It sounds like I’ll unfortunately be affected by this since I’m scheduled for build week of 11/17/22. I paid for the luxury package to get remote start, and now it sounds like I’ll only be getting one fob with the feature I added on. I’m sure there’s many people who would’ve preferred to just get the ‘23 private offer and wait for a complete truck.

It’d be great to hear from @Ford Motor Company about what they plan to do to make this right for the impacted customers.

I don't know maybe it's just me it seems like Ford keeps taking more and more things out of the Maverick yet we're only getting back pennies on a dollar for the things that they're taking. We lost the spraying bed liner in the drop in bedliner we lost the bed rails we lost the remote start in both key fobs I'm not sure what the second key fob will have we lost the leather steering wheel someone says that we may be losing the a.m. radio we lost the Wi-Fi hotspot hell are they going to go ahead and take the floorboard out and we can go ahead and pedal it like The Flintstones did. I just don't know that 22 XL that was under $20,000 is now over 22,000 dollars. Hell I don't know it's just aggravating you pay more and you have to wait a ☹🤔damn year and a half to get the thing. Another thing I don't understand if you can't make the vehicle why the hell do you keep on taking more orders then you can produce ???🤔🤔🤔 Ford keeps on taking items off the Maverick with no compensation for the customer. Do the math take the money that Ford is giving us 22 rollover orders and take all the items they are taking off the truck and you'll see customer is in the negative Ford is in the Plus don't forget about the 2200 dollar Plus increase on the trucks.

Intelligent access is on the Lariat. This affects the XL and XLT. Lariat key fobs are unaffected.
For now… we already lost the digital dual climate control dials

I don't care. I just want my Damn Truck. I am an old Man Ford. I would love to see my 2023 by the time I am Six Feet under. Hope it arrives in time for my Funeral they can haul me in the Flex bed to the Cemetery.
Will require a bed extender one supposes.
