Has anybody done this on their Mav? Was debating on dropping in some maybe a week before I do my next oil change. Just curious if anybody had any experience with it on this motor. Supposed to remove a lot of carbon buildup.

Surely someone has done it, but that doesn't mean it's necessary. If you're using good full-synthetic oil, there shouldn't be any "carbon buildup" in the bottom end. I've taken every 4-wheeled vehicle I've ever owned beyond 100,000 miles and have never needed to do what you're describing.

In your direct-injection truck, there "could" be an argument for build-up on the intake valves, but you'd have to get the magic cure-all in the intake tract for it to reach the valves.

Unnecessary. But proceed as you wish.

Your engine is likely still very clean. If you have been using a high-quality Full Synthetic oil (meeting Ford’s WSS-M2C961-A1 spec) and changing it at regular intervals, you probably don't have enough sludge to justify a flush yet.

If the truck has high mileage for its age or you've missed an oil change interval, Seafoam can help. However, if you’ve stayed on top of maintenance, a fresh filter and high-quality synthetic oil are usually all that engine needs to stay "Maverick tough."

If you decide to go through with it, the standard procedure is to add about 1 oz of Seafoam per quart of oil. Since the 2.0L EcoBoost takes roughly 5.7 quarts, you'd use about 5 to 6 ounces.

Your GDI engine puts enough gas in the oil to keep the engine clean with regular oil change intervals. Not needed in my opinion

Thanks for the input guys. I was just curious if anybody had done it or not. I do 5k oil changes with full synthetic so I should be good then.

Not sure how many miles on your truck but frequent oil changes are better. I have over 40K on mine and just before the 40K oil change I checked my oil. With 5K miles on the oil, it was still a golden-yellow color and at the right level.
