I installed the ScanGauge III on my truck. These photos were taken today with cruise set on 55. The right bottom is apparently the rpm speed of the electric motor.
It's interesting to watch the Engine RPM and Motor Speed change depending on whether I'm going uphill or downhill while the MPH stays the same.
The Coolant Temp is engine coolant and will go past 200 when the engine stops. I'm guessing because the circulation stops when the engine stops. As soon as the Engine RPM gauge shows that the engine has restarted, the temp goes back to 185. State of Charge and Hybrid Batt Amps are constantly changing.
The black piece under the gauge is part of the packing material around the gauge. I put it there to take strain off the suction cup mount and keep it from vibrating if I let it touch the dash.
You have to be sure to set the communication setting to hybrid, or the gauge will shut off everytime the Engine RPM goes to zero, as the gauge thinks the engine has been shut down. When you actually do turn it off by pushing the Stop/Start button, the gauge shuts off as soon as you open and close the door. I missed that upon installation, so I called the Help number. The guy who answered knew exactly what the problem was. AMAZING. Instant accurate help. Thank you Tony!!
