It is very rare for me to have the dash cluster fuel mileage readout actually match the ACTUAL fuel mileage when manually calculated after a fill up. I think being within 1 mpg would be something Ford could have done. But I am always well over that amount on my Maverick ( so far ) and on other vehicles I own.
How does your actual fuel mileage compare to what is posted on the dash in the trip display?
Recently I had just over 500 miles on that tank of fuel. Dash said 41.5 mpg. Actual manually calculated mileage was 38.01 mpg. The other fill up was off by a good bit too.
I think the readout should be more accurate. Even if that means it shows LESS mileage than is actually calculated on some fill ups.
