Any cheap device can show 12 volt system voltage.
Latest S.G. Firmware can display 12 volt system amperage. Positive when charging from DC/DC converter, negative when discharging.

This will probably be of interest to modders and high power stereo enthusiasts.

I'm testing Firmware 1.206 right now.
It should be available for everyone soon via WiFi automatic update.

It shipped with v. 1.15

Updated with 73 sensors you can monitor. Many of them Maverick specific.

Linear Logic has great customer service. They worked with me to program some Hybrid specific sensors.

Can you post the numbers that have to be punched in for the Maverick specific gauges?

If memory serves (always questionable) GPSMan was banned sometime last year. May have offended a sponsor with a negative comment.

I heard that too from one of the old timey members.

@SLINGSHOT Just look at your firmware version.
It should be at least as high as pictured above. There may be higher than that by now. Mine does everything I want it to do so I have not tried to update in a long time. Maybe I will tonight. You've sparked my curiosity.

Always update (or try to) right out of the box. It's a USA company and they make software updates, but if they ordered 10,000 units from China all at once, they may have older firmware from the factory.

I have had a scan gauge 2 for awhile, and picked up a scan gauge 3. It would be helpful if the scan gauge 3 had something like the EV coach to see how much throttle you can apply to stay in EV mode. Anyone know if it has this? I would like to be able for the scan gauge 3 to show it so I can mount it closer to line of sight to the rod so I don't have to look down at my stock gauges as often.

Try watching HV Battery Amps.
There is a fixed maximum you can pull before the engine kicks on.

You'll soon figure out what that value is.

I'll try watching that. SOC is good to know when trying to engage EV mode (ie. if it's real high it's worth trying to use EV, if it's real low, might as well get the engine going), but nothing that I have seen so far like the coach gauge that shows.... can't push the pedal any further right now or the engine will kick on.

Ya - that EV Coach works pretty well (pre-25).
Your profile doesn't say what year you have or trim.

I know you said line of site - but the power meter staying under 10% is other way to stay in EV. (pre-25MYs)
Of course no line as to how much battery you have available - but that SOC% gives that.
And if the HVB was dropping that low you can't reach 10% - ICE was turning on quickly anyway, so doesn't matter.
Unless you were on back road no one behind you - and just seeing how slow you had to go to make it to top of hill to enjoy some regen on way down other side.
With that little traffic, I've not found looking at EV coach a problem.

I have a 2023 XL. Good analysis. That's what I do now. Just curious to see if the ScanGauge 3 can do the same thing while mounted on the windshield.

No.
There doesn't appear to be a PID I've found (I have more available in Forscan then SC3) that shows the Power% or what the EV coach shows.

I know the max special long blue rectangle on initial startup that allows 20% power is -123 A discharge on HVB, but forget what 10% Amp is - but indeed around -6x A.
So you could look at that value and HVB SOC% and as long as it's above about 35%, you'll get that full max Amp.

Except you know how you normally start moving and the blue bar gets longer as you go faster, as long as you don't punch it - no way to see that in values.
But if that increasing blue bar is holding you back in traffic to attempt to stay in EV mode - don't do it anyway. Only on back residential streets, where looking at dashboard shouldn't be a problem due to no traffic.
