Was going to get some groceries and something caught my eye at the local CarStar repair shop up the street. Had to turn around and take a look. That sucks.....hope the people involved are all ok. Its a nice lariat too.

No wonder the back wheel came off, it was being held on by scraps of plywood.

Mavericks had not had much luck with wrecks with so few on the road

If the other drive had collision, would they be liable for the MSRP+ADM+'options' that it would take to replace the vehicle?
Or even the ACV of a 2022 Maverick optioned as the owners was?
I was offered 'gap' insurance and declined, thinking that the Mav was worth more than the MSRP, and wouldn't be 'under water'. Now, I have no idea what it should be insured for. One hand says it is worth more than MSRP, the other says, if it were totalled, you could not replace it... a ponderation.

Always get GAP from your insurance company. Much cheaper than through dealership/finance company.

GAP is to cover the difference between OWED and ACV. In the case of a Maverick, the ACV may be more than the loan balance...
What doe that have to do with a paid off truck? There is no loan balance.
I do not know what a policy covers when a used one may command more than MSRP. That was the real question. Is ACV the payoff from a policy should the vehicle be totaled?

In today's market GAP isn't needed. I can sell my Maverick for 4K over what I paid for it and I paid MSRP for it too.
