My Maverick is misidentified here. It is a 2024 gas only. Not a hybrid. I have a rumble when I am at 1,000 to 1,500 RPM and going 40 MPH. Not accelerating. just cruising.
dealer says it is normal. It is the turbocharger.
I am not convinced. This reminds me of my standard shift car when I was in too high a gear for the low speed I was traveling.
Nothing to do with tires or wheel balance.
any Ideas?

That's exactly what it is. It's "lugging" in too high a gear (IMO) for the sake of better efficiency.

You can change from Hybrid to Ecoboost in your account details.

Drive it in tow/hall at those speeds.

So I should not worry? i don’t have to dump it before something bad happens? It is annoying .

There's nothing really to worry about. Your transmission isn't shitty, it's just programmed for efficiency, as already mentioned.

I think every EB has this issue. Some say putting 93 octane in will help but I tried that and it didn’t make a difference really. As mentioned you can try driving in tow/haul if you think you’ll be doing a lot of 30-40mph driving, can always change back to normal on the highway.

That's what I do. In situations where the lugging becomes an annoyance, I switch to tow/haul. It's either that for frequently having to dip into the throttle to coax it to shift down.

93 makes a big difference in the 2.0 drive ability

Mine lugs when it's colder out, truck definitely vibrates quite a bit and drones. There was a TSB posted on here I do believe. I don't have the thread ATM.

May not be related, but long ago, auto mfrs used 4 cyl engines that suffered 4 cyl “rumble“ due to odd sequences of pistons and firing order. Some have added a counter balance shaft to counter the effect of pistons/crankshaft rotation, and negated that rumble feel, sound.

I had this type of exhaust noise in other vehicles/makes. The fixes had to do with the exhaust system. I think they replaced rubber donuts that suspended the exhaust pipe with softer ones. If enough people complain maybe FoMoCo will address it like they did the dash rumble. (The dash fix uses rubber spacers up by the windshield)
