I haven't read all 7 pages, but the original post doesn't sound like what I'm experiencing. Rough/loud idle that goes away once the truck is put in gear. Mine doesn't make any weird noise, and only seems to happen when I AM in gear (stopped at a light in drive)
You are right, I just saw rough idle and didn't read all the details. I am with you, his seem to be a different issue.

I am one of those Ford people, and, yes, without codes or technical service bulletins or special service messages, we cannot do much with it at this time....
Really? you can't look at wiring diagrams and see what the source might be? You can sit with the customer and help them figure out if it is an engine, transmission or brake issue?
You can't ask questions that would go down a logic tree, like do you hear a change in the idle, do you feel anything in the brake pedal?

that just makes too much sense…also takes too much time, most dealerships in my area have a 2 month backlog…whenever I take my truck in for an issue (wind whistling, dash rattling, heck even the brake issue before it became a service bulletin) they would say “sorry couldn’t replicate it” …what a waste of time…

Which is exactly why there is such a back log

To be fair, this is a problem with all dealerships, not specific to Ford.

I'm experiencing the same thing in my hybrid. It's super subtle and almost makes you think you're imagining it, but it definitely rocks when the engine is idling and cold. It's like when you're stopped on a bridge and can feel it moving while traffic is passing by.
Well said, my hybrid does exactly the same thing when cold. At first I thought it was the wind rocking the truck lol.

My hybrid XLT has almost 18k miles and everything has been so far more or less great. One of the small hiccups is the rough idle of my gas engine. I thought after the software update to fix the catalytic converter overheating issue, the update also took care of the rough idle. But it is not the case and each time I am waiting on the red light and the gas engine idles, it feels like someone pushes constantly the gas pedal and lets it go. While the auto brake is on the truck wants to take off and comes back (like a wild horse lol). Any idea what it could be and if there is a fix. As mentioned before, I had that since the very beginning and meanwhile I drove almost 18k without any big issues so I don't know if this is a big deal but I still would love to understand what is going on there. Thank you for your input!
Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

Yes mine does the same, even in 10+ Celsius it’ll do it if I don’t warm the truck up with remote start. I drive in electric mode, reach first stop sign, and when the ice comes on it is pulsing as if it wants to lurch forward, just as others have described.
