Reverse warning sound issue?

It is interesting that their mic picked up the reverse sound a lot better from the front in the video.

That is EXACTLY the sound I heard. Only in reverse.

It's not like a car alarm or a train horn, it's not that loud, don't worry about it. Nobody is going to hear it from inside their house unless you park right on top of their open window.

Going foreward on battery makes a UFO sound according to my sister. Not sure how she knows what a UFO but she is near the ‘Quiet Zone’ in West Virginia. Lots a odd stuff goes on and nobody has a cell phone to record it.

Did you get this extremely mild feature confused for a poorly maintained diesel pickup truck parked right outside your window? Because unless you are blaring your music and/or you have a Maverick EcoBoost and you're revving your engine obnoxiously, your neighbors won't even notice you...

Only pedestrians moving around outside near your vehicle will even hear it, just like the idling of any other modern, properly maintained ICE.

That's exactly what I said when I first got it. When first drove it, it was easy to mistake for distant emergency vehicle sirens. Now I'm used to it and my brain just filters it out most of the time.

It's a little different. The forward noise is a consistent low hum. The reverse sound is a more modulated beeping hum.

Ideally the reverse noise would be the same noise it makes going forward except playing backwards.

It's not as noticable in the rear because the beep beep is heard as peeb, peeb
