When I bought an XLT, I had a Chevy Silverado. I was very concerned about the small bed. So, I got a Century CT, the best looking bed cover on the market, because it was easy to remove. It was never removed because I needed more bed space.

I just replaced the XLT with a Lariat. After living with the small bed for 3+yrs, four trash cans was the largest load I ever carried with the tailgate up. With the RetraxONE the fit is a bit tighter.

So, I guess you won't be buying a retractable bed cover any time soon.

Retrax make a great cover, I have RetraxPro MX covers on my TRX and Raptor R, it's my Go-To cover on my larger trucks.

Got the EZ-OFF on my Silverado, and this is exactly what my truck bed looks like every Saturday on the way to the dump. Works out perfectly, keeps everything in place the whole ride.

I have no idea what cover you really had but someone is not getting "holes" in a RetraxPro MX's thick aluminum slats without a sawsall, a drill, or a plasma cutter........

I traded in a 2023 Silverado for the Maverick. Best decision I ever made. Should have kept the 2014 F150 instead of buying the Silverado. That being said I pay a garbage company to pick up my trash. when I moved to Virginia I was surprised to learn people loaded their trash into their cars and drove 15 miles to the dump. I found a company that collected the trash for $11/month in 2001. Well worth every penny. Today it's a bit more but still not worth my time or effort to haul it to the dump.

It was retrax pro they replaced pro rated cost to replace after a year second one lasted about year and half same problem wanted me to pay a pro rated cost again I told them no thanks
I wish I had saved pictures of the holes
Would not buy again

I‘ve owned 3 and still have 2.

these are relatively thick aluminum slats…. no fabric or exposed rubber etc.

No they came about slowly as it aged don’t know what cause them I live up north maybe with the salt and cold snow and ice not good for them
