I think you would damage the door panels before you got these out from prying them. You definitely have to cut them off from the back. Did you attempt it yet? I attached some images to show how they look.

Thanks for the reply, and the pictures. I haven't attempted it yet, but I'm going with plan 'B' instead...

I'll take out those four screws, then pry the switch panel off (the one with the window switches). This should expose enough of the orange trim, according to another video I've seen. Then I'll use tracing paper to make a pattern for covering the door pull part of the trim. Doing that per right/left ought to work for my purposes. Then use the pattern to cut the self-adhesive vinyl material, and apply it, before reassembling the door trim.

My Maverick hasn't had any squeaks or rattles after over a month of use, so I don't want to risk taking the whole door panel off, then on again, only to start having noise problems... Then taking the whole door panel off, then on again after attempted remedy (wash, rinse, repeat 😜)

Thanks again. πŸ™‚πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove and replace all the orange trim(air vents, handle backs, center storage area, etc) with say the black trim from an XL?
Well when I take delivery of my xlt, I'll gladly swap with XL ones for my orange.

Depending on what it is, it runs the gamut from cheap and easy, to difficult and time consuming. The orange rubber trim in the center console is cheap and easy to change out, and I've seen snap-on covers on Amazon, for the vents.

But the trim on the door pulls is on the other end of the spectrum, in terms of easy to change (even if you've got XL trim to replace them with). That trim is plastic welded onto the rest of the door trim, so replacing it will take some real time and patience. Another member here has some excellent pictures of how the door trim assembly is arranged. Those might be in this very thread, but I'm not sure. Hope this helps.

Thanks for input, I maybe see a rattle can spray paint in my future.

Resurrecting this one: just wondering if you swapped with someone with an XL, or bought the XL trim from the dealer. If dealer, do you happen to have part numbers?
