$1,600 sounds about right (crazy though). One reason why garage is full of tools. Hard for me to see any detail in the video. Does look like there are some dents around the leak but really hard to say one way or another.

You have a hybrid?
Did you have recall done where they remove some shutters?
Looks like a bunch of fins are pushed over, maybe by the hand of the person removing the shutters?

However, I don’t see how that would cause a pin hole leak, just like I don’t see road debris causing it.

I noticed the shutters missing as well. But clearly fins bent above and below the passage leaking.

$1,600 sounds right. The part about it being road debris for a pinhole, however, sounds dubious.
I dont have my truck yet, so I can't speak to how exposed the radiator is. But this isn't necessarily uncommon. I have replaced 2 side radiators for the same reason on a Mercedes GT in recent history at a much larger price tag than that.

Hybrid yes, recall no. The only recall I have so far is the heat shield/fire concern and dealer said I was ok (different dealer). I didn't catch the leak as I had moved the Mav out of traffic in to a spot when I was able to restart the truck (could not shut off and had to wait for it to power down). Reservoir was above the minimum line and I saw no coolant on the ground so the vid was a surprise for me. I am not near the dealer so I will have to wait and see the radiator when I pick up.

Not ideal but odds are I'll have to bite the bullet and start looking in to some screen protection :)

hard to see, but I would want to take a closer look....you can see where the stream is originating from and there is no obvious damage to the fins. The fins on these things are soft enough to dent with just your finger so there should be more damage if that took a hit.
Looks more to me like the plates are separating, factory defect.
Exactly you should see some sort of collision damage from debris in the surrounding area.

I bet the dealer makes more money stating it was a road hazard as opposed to a warranty repair.
Double dipping maybe?

Most dealers are scum. Bill the customer turn around and bill Ford for warranty work.

What side of the radiator was the pin hole? Was it the outside facing the grille or inside facing the engine?

Wish I had a service manual I would like to see what is involved. Sounds like Ford really has some dumb ass way of removal of radiator like right out the front which makes zero sense. There is plenty of room to take it out from the top. Sounds like it come out the front.

Also about the pin whole The AC condenser is in front of radiator and typically blocks any stones from hitting radiator. But doesn't cover the entire radiator so I guess it got it outside of that coverage from condenser. which sucks

i see others say insurance would cover it under comprehensive . If true that would be a good deal. Anyone check to see if that is true?
