Removing Maverick tailgate

I’ve had have a dozen F-series trucks and could remove the tailgate in 30 seconds! Why not the Maverick?

But that actually is a pretty good question. Probably has something to do with the camera?

The Ford I grew up with had a chain on each side of the gate, and yes, lifted up and out in short order. Push button starter independent of the key, and a dimmer switch on the floor. Oh, and of course, add the "uphill both ways to school" trope

At a dealership I worked at tailgates were frequently stolen from new trucks. I am kind of glad it is not so easy.
