Remote start useless for Hybrid

Why do I have a remote start. It seems useless!
Unless I'm missing something.

I use it in the winter to prewarm the interior and precool it in the summer. If it's not a daily driven car, the remote has a handy 'scheduled start' so you can keep the charging system working...so that's three reasons without even thinking about it.

Anyone know of an aftermarket remote start that will work with the original key fob for the 2025 MAVERICK XLT 2.5L HYBRID?
Had a 2024 straight up gas 2.0, Start-X worked fine, but the hybrid has a totally different OBD 2

Yes, as I bought the vehicle between summer and winter when I would not use it. The first winter here I was glad I could warm up the steering wheel and seats.

Don't feel bad I got a list of useless things on my 2024 AWD Lariat Ecoboost.

Auto stop start,

Seat belt reminder that's way too intrusive. My 2004 dings until I pull the seat belt out a foot then let it go and never dings again even when I drive on without hooking it up, I LOVE THIS.

Touchless door unlock entry, Manual says keys must be within one foot of the door handle when I touch the three little lines. Some times even then I have to tap several times, PIA It Is.

There is more but I still think my Mav Is a keeper.

I looked and this supposedly works with 2025 XLT hybrid BUT it says the perimeter plus must be installed. So maybe there is a 2025 version of that module?

Perimeter security plus, allows you to use your factory key fobs. No extra fobs. It works on XL, XLT and Lariat.

It works by pushing lock unlock lock on the regular fob, it will start. Then unlock lock unlock to turn it off.

I have experience with XL Hybrid, XLT and Tremor models and both gas and Hybrid models of Maverick.

No extra buttons needed it uses the factory fob. With button pushes to activate and de activate remote start.

Start - lock unlock lock
Turn off - unlock lock unlock

Perimeter security plus does have to be installed. Programmed and on the hybrid there's a jumper word necessary.

perimeter security plus is the only one I know that the deep sleep module is not effected.

Mine is not useless. Nice coming out of work to a 70 degree interior on a 100 degree day. It may only have to run a minute or two in that 5-10 minutes, and that's OK by me! The interior is cool and engine is warmed up.

In winter, it will run a lot higher percentage of that time.
