Thank you for the kind thought. I feel the breakdown is in FORD's systems, specifically their hybrid and electrical engineering. I studied Electrical Engineering years ago and currently program robots and control systems. If I put out crap like this to market I would certainly be unemployed quickly! Has anybody seen the "radio" aka Human Machine Interface (HMI) glitch out repeatedly? I don't believe it is all software, as I have seen it at least 20 times in less than a year. The backup camera freeze fiasco? I program HMI's too and this looks like to me like both hardware and software defects combined. My 2025 Lariat Hybrid has worked flawlessly. I had to look up how to start it remotely with the key fob a couple of weeks ago. I usually use the app, but my electric, wifi and internet were out because of the ice storm. Good news is it worked and we got electricity and wifi back, but no fiber in sight for internet.
Robot-Wrangler, good luck with your issue. Something is definitely broken in your system.
As both a Ford consumer of $200k+ since 2020 and a tier 1 supplier employee, I am grateful to Ford and don't wish to rub their noses in their mistakes, but what do all these issues say about the company? When it's an isolated event, you blame the workers. When it's repeated global failures, you blame the management. It's that simple. I work for my earnings and expect a certain level of value and quality from Ford. At the very least, Ford service, don't insult my intelligence by blaming the battery run down on a cell phone charger or an OBDII reader that I plugged in afterwards to look at the faults.
