I have a 2024 XL.
2 Flip Key FOBS.
I've identified a transponder key without FOB that should work.
Wanted to know if anyone knows of a remote fob (without a flip key) that I can program to the vehicle?

Be aware that the "center mill" key (Ford #164-R8269; StratTec #5939651) used by the Maverick has a blunt nose, while "side mill" keys used in other vehicles (Ford #164-R8130; StratTec #5923667 or Dorman 99294ST) have a slight "chisel" taper at the end. This can make the side mill key tend to jam upon insertion into a center-mill lock because it tends to push the tumbler pins sideways. It's a very subtle difference, and if you're not a locksmith or have both keys in your hand for comparison (as I did) it is hard to tell the difference. The immobilizer chip is the same for both, so it's possible to have the wrong key cut and coded for your Mav.

That's good to know. Thank you.
I was going to try these:
Ilco H128-PT Ford 128 Bit Transponder Key

As I have to to identify a fob only (without flip key)...I am holding off.

FYI, I bought a cheap Chinese transponder key for a Honda Civic and the remote stopped working after a month, so I'm more than just a bit leery about low-priced clones. I've had excellent luck with StratTec so if you can find something suitable on their site it should work well. I bought one of their flip keys from North Coast Keyless online ($80 in '23) and it seems indistinguishable from the factory keys in form and function. I Googled your part and found this image in an Amazon listing for $10. It appears to be the more common "side mill" key blank. So... you might want to chat with your local locksmith about this AND to see if they can duplicate center mill keys. My guy had to upgrade the software in his key duplicator to handle my key.

I'll check out the StratTec site and will keep you posted.

Main goal is to find a plain key and small remote fob..(no flip key) to use daily.

If anyone is searching for such a solution or found one give a shout here.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find a plain transponder key, presumably with no battery required.
As for the remote fob without key, I'm not entirely sure these exist, although you would think so.
Best of luck in your quest...

Since the programming routine entails plugging the new key in and turning it so the truck verifies a legit key, and remembering the code - I'm unsure how you are going to do a fob without a key.

You are basically wanting 2 keys, just one with a remote for unlock/lock but no key, and one a key to plug in.

But they are both going to have their own code, and the truck is going to need to learn each of them, therefore you'll have to do the programming routine the same on both.

Sadly that means cutting the fob key I think.

Unless you are aware of some other way to program truck to learn a valid fob/key code that happens to have no key on it.

Shoot, get extra key made, take existing fob, remove the flip-out key.

Or you could remove the physical key from the fob you have. Someone posed how to change the key in a fob.

Thank would work. But I'd still have to carry the big ugly flip remote and a transponder key

Part of the programming of a new key, is having a key to turn the ignition - where the transponder reader ring is.

While a fob without a key is possible (no one ever provided one for the Maverick though), and it'll have a transponder code in it - you can't turn the ignition for it to be read and added to the remaining 2 key slots.

So it isn't possible easily.

Unless - you have a non-transponder key made.
Turn the ignition with that key.
While the fob is right there to be read at the same moment.
Hopefully.
And if it can't read it because not exactly in the right spot - you wasted money on a fob.
But at least you have a key to open the door.
