I went out of state for multiple reasons. 3% off invoice, plus only $449 doc fees in PA (vs. almost $1k in VA), plus a dealer who was very open about their allocations, how many they had scheduled, etc.
I'll stand very corrected. You're +$1200 at the very least from where I'm at, plus not tied to the original dealership. All I have is some "4 Life" pie-in-the-sky powertrain warranty. I'm gonna hold 'em to it, however. And that's only if I hold up my end to get (possibly) crooked every 7500.

So far the only other bumps have been from Culpepper and Manassas. Not a surprise there. Get as far away from DC as you can stand.

I used to use Battlefield Ford Culpeper and was very happy with them.

Interesting thread. This is my first Ford and is just going into shipping, so should be here... by Christmas? I live in Arlington and asked neighbors about a good Ford dealership near me, and nobody seemed very happy with whoever they'd purchased from. One neighbor took their F150 to Koons Ford in Falls Church for service (recall) and said they'd never take it back there, so all I have is a recommendation against. I'll be interested if there are any recommendations closer in.

I'll probably take it to my original dealer (Woodbridge) at first, but I'm not against taking a day trip to Manassas or Culpepper if that's what it takes to get reliable service that doesn't overcharge.

In other threads, there were a lot of positive reports about the sales manager at Ourisman Ford in Alexandria, but hadn't heard anything one way or the other about the Service Dept there.

As a side note, I stopped in at Ted Britt in Chantilly after work yesterday and spoke with Terry Doyle, a service advisor there, about a small rock chip in my windshield. He said it was small enough that it could be easily repaired (rather than replacing the whole windshield, yay!), but it wasn't something they did in-house; he highly recommended a locally owned auto glass guy who I'm going to call today. Terry seemed like a very nice guy and was very helpful, even though I caught him after they had closed.

@theway-yay-ting @Vtec87pr1 works at Battlefield Ford in Manassas, VA. He seems to know his way around the Mavs. If Manassas is not a convenient location for you, Antonio may have other recommendations.
I believe this dealership is now Ourisman Ford of Manassas.

Mike Powers at Ourisman Ford was great!!!!!

Service sucks!!!! My truck was there 5 weeks, no updates, nothing. Come to find out, my service advisor left. I started dealing with the service manager (Rudy)
Who finally got me out. I went back to the dealership last week, Rudy is gone. Service manager Chris B will not respond to emails. Turnover is horrible, you have been warned.

Best of luck. I still drive an hour to Culpeper. The Manassas location sold to the Ourisman kids last year

Thanks, will keep that in mind! Nothing specific right now, just looking to find folks who've had good experiences in our area.

I've heard good things about Malloy Ford service department. My employer uses them for warranty work and happy.

This. ☝

I read an anecdote from a 2005 Escape Hybrid owner who drove his vehicle 235K miles before it got totaled. It was still going strong and he only changed the oil every 15,000 miles - based on actual oil analysis. FWIW, the Hybrid's original brake pads also lasted 200,000 miles, thanks to Hybrid regenerative braking.

Regular maintenance on the Hybrids is much less, because the ICE runs significantly less. Also, synthetic oil doesn't break down nearly as fast as conventional oil.

Bumping this thread back up to see if our members have any dealerships to recommend in NoVA for servicing their Mav. I did get my Maverick locally but I'm not necessarily tied to them for servicing. Thanks!

That's where I got my Mav and that's where I took it for service on Thursday. At first the telephone system routed me to Quick Lane. I've heard some stories about using Quick Lane, so I was able to call a different number and make an appointment for the service center at the dealership. Pretty smooth and happy with the experience so far.
