Look. I get it. You REALLY WANT there to be a rear window defroster. But there isn’t.
there are PLENTY of pictures of the back wall of the cab. There are NO VENTILATION VENTS blowing on the back window. Not to mention, I have never seen nor heard of a car/ truck/ van/ etc that had a rear defroster that worked this way from the factory.

I actually have no dog in the fight.....XLT with minimal options.......FWIW my 350, which is a much bigger cab, does not have rear defrost and has no issue keeping the ice off during warm up

My Mom bought a new '68 Dodge Coronet 4 door that had a blower in the rear shelf at the rear window. Blew air from the trunk onto the glass. Didn't do much. This was before cars had the tiny heater wires on the glass.

There's no rear defrost on any Maverick trim levels. I think they originally intended to offer it and it was in the order guides initially, but has since been removed. Probably due to supply concerns, cost, and frankly not all that needed in a truck this size with vertical rear glass.

ok. That’s one, from 53 years ago.

I'm positive ford is going back to this method to defrost the rear window in 2021. It’s in the literature after all.

I have not seen anywhere in the build tool that rear window defrost is available.
It isn't an option, it's listed as standard on the Lariat trim.

Lariat has rear window defrost. In "exterior features" on the builder.

"Power sliding rear window with privacy and defrost"

They did have blowers on the back dash of old cars that was the defrost. They work quite well. My dad has one on his 77 Oldsmobile but I digress.

They lied about the full size spare tire being a full size spare tire.

At the very least it's misleading, but honestly that's being generous.
Yes, a little shady. It's a full length spare, just not full width spare.

It was in the builder. It is not a thing on any Maverick.

The button for the mirror heaters has a picture of a mirror for a reason (that reason being only the mirrors have elements). It is very common for rear defrost and mirror heaters to be combined into a single button, but that would be the rear defrost button. It wouldn't have a mirror on it.

It's not a big deal.

The latest order guide has removed "and defrost". It would be difficult to defrost the sliding window anyway. I think Ford found that out and removed the option from Lariat Luxury. I guess we look back using the heated side mirrors or have a kid open the window and scrape ice.

How do you know? I looked at the pictures and there is an extra defrost button on the lariat lux that others do not have.
I just got my lariat lux maverick and I can confirm there isn’t any rear window defrost.
