Rear camera recall

According to @fordvideoguy , Ford thought they had a fix last week.The it didn’t work..
No ETA for a fix.
He also mention Ford may need to put a rebate on the 2024 when there is a solution to this problem.

What a SH-T show. How can a company be managed this poorly. I wonder how they are compensating dealers who are floor planning 1000's? Not that one should care about most stealers.

Ford's trying to implement a cheap ass software fix.
"CarCrasher 89" said it best.

The easiest thing to do would be to switch the system but ford would rather spend months to get a ps3 game on a ps1.

25s are already showing signs on software bugs.
Nothing new.
As long as people buy, they will keep pumping these out.

And this is why I took delivery of plan B.
My original '24 order is stuck at the dealer. I really needed it in Nov, but then I got a text that simply said, its here. I expected they meant the camera fix, but it was my '25, in the Eruption Green I really wanted all along. been less than a week. I never expected the '24 to get built so I'm actually happy and a few bucks ahead since this one is just an XL. I will need to spend some on accessories, but that's fun anyway.
Ford is hoping they can get away without spending money on parts. This could take a while as they need to simulate thousands of shifts into reverse to demo the next try.

PS3 game on a PS1?? Wrong!! PS3 game on an Atari 2600 is more like it. My prediction of a half assed fix just good enough to keep Uncle Sugar happy is looking more plausible by the day. Stay tuned.

I was told by my GM who on the dealer council zoom call yesterday where they said they thought they had a fix late last week but it didn't work so they are back to having no ETA.

In my opinion typically when you think you have a fix, it is a result of not doing enough validation and just hoping for the best with bare minimum.

I'll sell you my 2024. It has only 2700 miles. Camera is messed up and it won't keep the 12v battery charged. Man, I was hesitant to by a Ford. I really am considering selling it and getting a Mid size Frontier. The last small truck with a V6 and no plastic turbo. To hell with the hybrid or EcoBlast.
