So I heard a rattling noise happening about a week ago and decided to take a look for myself today - I have an appointment with the dealer already but wondered if anyone could give me any insight on this before I take it in. I haven’t nailed down what the parts are called but I’ve done some research and gathered those two prongs are meant to be set inside the rubber grommets above - what exactly are these? I assume it’s to hold the exhaust runs in place, is this a common thing? What could’ve caused this to happen? I’m sure the rubber pieces are not suppose to be split on the top and bottom. Seems to me it should be replaced by the dealer? I appreciate any advice or info anybody can give!

Put some silicone lube on those exhaust hangers and push them back into the rubber supports.
Regular grease works, too. As does a bit of WD-40.

If its still under warranty, have the whole exhaust system inspected while they put it back together. Exhaust hangers shouldn't disconnect like that. Might be more problems farther back or up by the manifold.

The Factory just missed the bushings... let the dealer fix it.

(I would fix it myself, but if you're asking how to do it, you obviously can't. ;)(y))

I would trust myself over the Ford service departments I've dealt with.

If I was to fix this myself:
1. Unbolt the support from the crossmember.
2. Mount the support onto the exhaust hangers.
3. Push the assembly up and bolt it back to the crossmember.

-HOWEVER-

@Gray Goose makes an excellent point about having the exhaust system inspected.
Regardless of how you feel about a dealership service department, it's an easy fix and a mechanical inspection that shouldn't be difficult and, more importantly, this is documented in the event of future exhaust system issues that can be attributed to this exhaust hanger.

I appreciate all the feedback. Although it seems an easy fix, I figured it’s something that shouldn’t have been an issue in the first place, so me messing with it would void my excuse that the dealer should remedy it for free lol 🤓 they’ll have it in a couple days to do the recalls anyways, might as well have them give the exhaust a quick look through like gray groose mentioned. Thanks again for the input everyone!
