Radio auto turn off

Hey I have a 26 Lobo and I'm trying to find out if anyone knows if you can change the auto off radio to turn off when turning the car off. I hate the radio continuing to be on when turning the truck off. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

i agree it bugs. Shut the engine off, open the door and the radio continues to play. I have just been lazy to figure it out. Especially embarrassing when I have Baby Shark cranked up loud and get out at a busy gas station.

Hum with ignition off, my radio turns off soon as driver door opens. If I don’t open the door it will continue playing around 15 minutes? then turns itself off

My 2026 XLT radio will continue to play about 5 seconds after shutting off the engine then opening the drivers door. A little annoying, but there doesn't appear to be a setting that can change that.

Ah yes, the heavy handed approach...
Some might say crude, but yet totally effective..

OTOH, there is that conveniently placed "Off" button, just inches away from the transmission selector switch, that would be typically rotated a mere fraction of a second before, and it works to silence entertaining sounds, even if "Baby Shark" is playing...

Yes but my device is like the aftermarket auto stop disabler it's permanent . No need to push a button every time.

Good point that I might have considered when I noted your solution as "totally effective".
Maybe effective in totality would have been more accurate..

OTOH, disabling the "solution" could well be problematic...

It still continues to play, it’s on a timer after you open the door, so I want to disable that function.

Not on my truck, you turn the truck off, open the door radio is still playing, shut door and lock radio turns off.

I guess Ford made it, so that those folks who want to listen to their radio with their truck turned off and their driver door open are now able to.
As long as the radio turns off after you close the door and lock it.
I wonder if the power windows will now operate after turning off the ignition and opening the door.
I have quite a few times forgot to roll my window up after I have opened the door. Then I have to go back and turn the accessory on.
