Race Chip for 2.0 Ecoboost Maverick - feedback / review ?

I finally got a build date and anxiously waiting... Love reading the forums and what to watch for. I was wondering if anyone has used the Maverick 'Race Chip' and what you thought of them?

Does this tuner improve power and fuel economy or is it one or the other? Eco or Sport settings? Have you checked how the extra power effects MPG?

I think it was the GTS version, with the bluetooth app. I think it was the best one and said it added 30HP or something. I keep mine running in sports mode for daily driving but the race mode is fun once in a while.

people say it does better for MPG because of more torque, but it has an eco mode which is supposed to be better for gas. In sports mode I found about no change in MPG but i'm driving a bit crazier now with the extra power and have a heavy foot.

I also got it (GTS with Bluetooth) and enjoy it. It’s a night and day difference. Installing the B clip is a pain in the ass though.

I’ve tested the Eco mode while also on Eco mode, and the truck drives painfully slow. But I usually keep it in Race 7 in Sport mode. Since installation, and installing bigger tires, I average 19.4 MPG which is mostly driving around town.

Did it change the shift points from a rolling start? I think the issue is probably more a lack of boost than a downshift/throttle position. Dunno. Thoughts?

Sorry for late response but how did you get that display with the road centering showing? I toggled through the modes and don't see it.

The RaceChip is good, there’s legit power gains, but I’d recommend a flash tune.
If you prefer piggybacks then I’d recommend the JB4.
