Anyway, my suggestion is to look at ones that show a $27,660 MSRP, so you're not wasting time looking at builds with more or less equipment than you want.

I wonder how did you find so quickly with this option?
I couldn't find any filter or feature for search from the website.

If I remember correctly, the acquisition fee that shows up on the Ford website assumes a lease rather than a purchase. It shouldn't be there for anyone who isn't leasing.
Yes the acquisition fee is the fee to "acquire" (even if it's in house) a lender to furnish the money. It in effect replaces the expected commission paid to dealer by a lender that the dealer selected to furnish the money. That's why it's harder for the buyer to bring his own lender. The dealers selected lender may require the dealer to pay for early cancelation of the loan which can trigger the buyer to carry GAP insurance. Bottom line is OTD MSRP CASH is actually less profit for the dealer already. If it's the last day of the month and there are no buyers in dealership you might have a better chance.

If you use the build & price site, with the recent price increase you're now at a $27,765 number, so that's one way to narrow the range.

Yes it is the fee to acquire a "lessor " to pay the dealer for the truck and lease it to lessee.

She brought to first quote was around $42,000.
and she crossed out 4 extra charging subjects in front of me, off almost $10,000
and it became around $32,000.

Here is another dumb question,
I thought pay in cash is best option to buy,
but may I ask why should not to tell "pay in cash" to a dealer?
If the dealer thinks I am considering financing, then is there any change to get better deals on the table ?
wow. Here's the bottom line - if they're pulling al lthis cr-- on you and treating you like some numskull who is supposed to be happy and elated at the act of crossing out options and showing you a 10K less price - go somewhere else, anywhere else, get away from those people. Not to mention IF you made the mistake of buying from them likely any and all maintenance costs would be pricier than some honest joint. When people try to treat you like cr-- then just flush the toilet and move on.

Thank you for your advice.
I visited there because I found the dealership on honest list on this forum.
Fortunately I did not buy anything from them.

Go to other dealer in area, bring quote. See who wants your biz. Best deal would be msrp or price plus tax , reg, and maybe up to $400 doc/admin fee. Nothing else is required. Timing helps, is it in stock?
I believe every car is charged a destination fee. You cannot get out of it.

Good for you, it's always better to listen to your instincts as you did. Good luck on your search, I'm sure you'll find a dealer that will get you your truck closer to MSPR (if not MSRP). When you get it, you'll love it, enjoy your weekend.

I dislike only one, the dial type gearshift knob. I prefer a classic lever type.

I met my MY24 Lariat Hybrid as it was just lowered off the transport vehicle (Dallas Area dealer). I previously had to pull teeth to get a drive off the lot price, not to include TTL (wanted only the price of the truck in order to keep it simple for them.) I was adamant in all this, that I wanted "NO" dealer options, just the current window sticker price. While they had my trade-in being evaluated, they brought out the dreaded dealer offer letter for me to sign and on it was a $3200 up-charge. I questioned that and the salesperson stated that it was "mandatory" dealer options required by this particular dealer. Now understand, the truck in question had not been thru their magical sprinkling of fairy dust and mist yet. I looked at the salesperson and simply said my own magic words: "Bring my trade-in back up." Left in the truck at the MSRP plus TTL and infamous document fee.

I just got a quote from a dealership.

I was trying to make an order Maverick Hybrid 24 with copilot 360, Trailer hitch.

the dealer gave me a quote:

MSRP $ 25420
Vehicle protection plan $ 995
options $ 750
Destination charges $ 1595
Acquisition Fee $ 645
non tax fee $245
etc..

so I remember TOD was $32,500.

I said I have plan to pay with cash and TOD expectation was around $30,000.
The dealer did not mention those fees until I visit their office.
and she said they are non negotiable to order new maverick.

I understand there is TTL, but I do not know about Vehicle protection plan and non tax fee
Are they mandatory fees? or just hidden fee or ADM?
Protection plan = junk fee unless you want it.
Options = CP 360 = $650, hitch = $100, so that is the going price
Destination charge = Standard charge to all of us
Acquisition fee = Junk fee and strangly FoMoCo puts it on their website in the build and price process. Ignore it.
Non-tax fee - Is it something common in your area? Seems like a junk fee but each state has different fees.

Inventory is building up. You can save yourself time by going to the ford.com website-->trucks-->Maverick--> build and price--> search inventory and perhaps find one in stock online.

Then contact that dealer by email - they call it their "internet department", and negotiate price. Ask them to itemize in writing all the charges and fees that goes into the "out the door" price.

Don't waste time and gas driving to a dealer. You can set this all up by email. Email several dealers at one time. Play one off against the other.

Be willing to drive out of your area to get it. Your local dealer will service it and honor the warranty.

Approach it like playing a game. Except you don't know the rules, the rules aren't published anywhere and the dealer changes the non-existant rules by telling you lies.
