Hello All,
I have a question about the price protection. I have been waiting for 2 long years for this truck, like a lot of you. I am in the roll over to 2024 group, and truck is finally being built as of 2 weeks ago.
Unfortunately, during this wait I have had some things happen in my life that will make financing the truck next to impossible. I have a family member that has graciously offered to finance for me while I get back on my feet. The conditions we came up with is the truck will have her name on the title and she will get the loan for the financing, among other things that I will not bore you with. Essentially we agreed that the truck for all intent and purposes will be hers, with me as the driver….for now.
The question is, when the truck arrives, will WE still have the price protection if she is the one financing?
Thanks in advance.

Financing doesn't matter at all. The names on the loan only matter to the bank, Ford/the dealer sees the money as coming from the bank so that's no issue. If you're financing then then title will belong to the loaner servicer as well until it's paid off so I don't think that'll be an issue.

I believe the terms of the private offer mean you will have to have your name on the signed contract. So you'll either need to be the buyer or the co-buyer. I would give your dealer's finance office a call however.

If it's a 2024 rollover then you will have a private offer and not price protection.

The private offer will be in your name so to be able to claim it from Ford the vehicle would have to be sold to you. In this case you would have to be the co-buyer and co-signer on the loan.

Also depending on the dealer they might mark up the price if they sell the vehicle to someone other than the person who originally ordered it.

Can't they just "cosign" your loan? And then tranfer the Mav.
